Britefly is led by Dennis Michael Jackson Jr. Over the past 20 years, Michael has been involved in almost all aspects of graphic design and web design. You name it and he's likely done it. Logo design, t-shirt graphics, magazine ads, door hangers, business cards, event flyers, take-one brochures, even billboard ads. The last 15 years has mainly focused on web design & development.
Experienced History
From May 2005 to July 2019 ( 14 yrs. 3 mos.), Michael was employed full time at Televox Software, Inc. He was promoted several times and filled roles as Web Designer, Web Developer, Senior Web Designer, and Web Design Manager. For 14 years he remained completely immersed in web design creation and designed well over 1500 unique, custom websites.
Responsibilities / Capabilities
- Produce front-end design, graphics, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that function across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with Clients, Customers, Users, Product Design, Product Management, and Software Engineers and Developers to deliver compelling user-facing products.
- Maintain a clean, presentable code base with attention to detail and consistency.
- Implement and integrate key web components in a developer-friendly environment.
- Actively participate in project planning, solutions and technical strategy discussions, and documentation.
- Analytical problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision and direction.
- Able to work as part of a cohesive team as well as individually.
Technical Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in graphic and web design.
- 15+ years of experience in front-end development.
- 9+ years of experience in management.
- Proficient skills using Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
- Solid understanding and experience in responsive design and front-end frameworks.
- Exceptional design concept principles, including typographic sensibilities, colors and styles.
- Knowledge of web-standards and cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Understanding and experience in current ADA Guidelines.
- Experience with content management platforms.
- Accomplished web designer with a reviewable portfolio (see below)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent task and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Organized, detail-oriented, can-do attitude, and able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter capable of managing projects from inception to finish.
- Enthusiastic spirit and willingness to learn and grow.
